 | Design/Engineering/Plan
Check – (3-4 months) – This is often one of the longest and
most difficult times of your project. Preliminary design work,
client changes, final working drawings, project engineering, site plans,
site surveys and topographical mapping, plan checks and revisions. |

 | Foundation

Excavation, concrete forms, rebar reinforcement, concrete, slab work |

 | Log Stacking
– (1 month) – The logs arrive and the construction begins! |

 | Purlins/Truss’
– (1 month) One of the most difficult portions of the project,
the purlin and truss work leading up to the roof is complicated and
critical to the success of the project |

 | Roof
Structure – (1 month) Once the purlins and truss work are
complete, the actual roof structure is completed. The roof contains
not only the roofing and insulation materials, but since it is a log home,
much of the electrical wiring is installed through the roof |

 | Finish
Work – (2 months) Upon completion of the outside structure and
roof, attention turns to the all important finish work on the inside. |
 | Interior
Walls - Many of the interior walls are drywall construction, but wood
trim throughout warms the inside feel. |

 | Fireplace - All log homes need at least one fireplace and often times
the fireplace is a major focal point of the great room. Fireplaces
can be finished with all types of rock with custom designed and built
mantels. Don't forget the bedroom fireplace! |

 | Masonry/Tile - In addition to the rock work for the fireplaces,
kitchens and bathrooms need to be finish with granite, tile or
marble. A wide variety of choices and price ranges are available. |

 | Decking - ( 2 weeks) - Take
full advantage of your mountain views with log decking. |

 | Exterior/Interior Staining (1 month) - Once the house is complete,
one of the most the most important tasks is to protect your investment from
the high altitude sun and weather to help ensure a lifetime of beauty. |
